Our Development Approach
We tackled the challenge of integrating a message/video-sharing feature utilizing a cloud-based backend solution alongside creating a multifunctional AR experience that required careful asset optimization. Initially, animation performance suffered due to the use of sprite sheet frames while recording. This led to a strategic pivot to AR plane animations anchored to the camera, with adjustments to the plane’s height and width according to the device’s aspect ratio, which significantly enhanced frame rates. To ensure the AR experience remained lightweight and engaging, we implemented lazy loading for scene assets based on predictions. The project also featured a custom form and OTP authentication mechanism for secure video submissions, addressing both user interaction and security considerations in a seamless and efficient manner.
On the receiver side, the video is retrieved from the cloud using the unique sender ID that is appended to the shared link. Users have the option to either stream and play the video directly in their browser or download it to their device.

How to participate:
1.) Scan the QR code on the MINERE Limited Edition mineral water bottle.
2.) Type your love message.
3.) Crush the bottle.
4.) Record a video expressing your love in your own style.
5.) Keep the video for yourself or send it as a private message, or Crush out loud! for a chance to appear on billboards throughout Bangkok.
